About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University and a faculty member at the Division of Machine Learning, Institute of Computing Science, Poznan University of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Poznań University of Technology under the supervision of prof. Jerzy Stefanowski in 2022. Currently, I am doing my postdoc with prof. Ondřej Dušek.

My research interests include:

• explainable AI/ML/NLP
• (accurate, controllable) natural language generation
• explainable sentiment analysis
• imbalanced and complex data (in the past)

I was an investigator in grants of the Polish National Science Center, National Centre for Research and Development, Norway Funds, EU's HORIZON 2020 grants as well as in R&D research projects for industry. I made research stays at Charles University in Prague and Ljubljana University. From 2019 to 2023, I was a machine learning consultant at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre (Polish Academy of Sciences). Before joining academia, I worked in Human Language Technologies Lab of Samsung R&D, in Data Science team of Berlin-based startup Roq.ad and in Comarch.

I was in the Programme Committees of ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, EACL, NAACL, ECML PKDD, ECAI, COLING, SIGDIAL, LREC. I was also a tutor and founder of Group of Horribly Optimistic STatisticians (2017-2022), initiator and main organizer of GHOST Day: Applied Machine Learning Conference (2019-2022) and co-organizer of 1st Polish Artificial Intelligence Conference. Since 2015 I am a member of Polish Special Interest Group on Machine Learning and in 2016-2018 I was a member of Machine Learning Group @ PUT.
