Rogalin Palace


Rogalin Palace was a seat of the Raczynscy family in 1768-1939.

The building of this palace started in 1768 and finished 1815.
In the meantime the style of this building changed many times: from a baroque at the biginning to the classical style nowadys.

Inside there is a museum with valuable paintings, porcelain, old furniture and clocks.

In the surroundings of the palace there are a few other buildings, that are worth seeing.
Rogalin Galery (Galeria Rogalinska) is famous for its paintings in main European and Polish styles from the 19th and 20th century, in other building you can admire a collection horse-drawn vehicles.
The Neoclassical sw. Marceli chapel, built from 1817 - 1820, is a replica of a Roman temple from Nimes.



Rogalin Park with old oak trees


On the west side of the palace there is Rogalin Park, which was created in the 18th century.
A French park with sculptures of mythological figures and mound changes into english park.

Rogalin Park and its surroundigs are well known because of old oak trees - about 950 trees. The oldest ones are about 600 years old

The most well known are Lech (trunks circumference: 9,3 m), Czech (8,1 m) and Rus (6,7 m).
The biggest cluster of old oak trees in the whole of Europe is in Rogalin.
