Museum of the first Piasts consists of Wielkopolska Etnographic Park (Wielkopolski Park Etnograficzny), Ostrow Lednicki and other historic objects, lying near Lednica Lake. The history of Polish state has began in this place. Ostrow Lednicki is the island, which was strong devensive and administrative center in the past. Today you can see there old ruins, which are one of the most precious historic monuments in Poland. The oldest ruins are from the 11th century, but the island was inhabited already in Stone Age. You can admire ruins of chapel, castle, temple, embankment, well and cemetary.  Wielkopolska Etnographic Park (Wielkopolski Park Etnograficzny) is the place, where many historic, wooden buildings are brought from whole Wielkopolska. It is the historical village with farms, windmills and forge. Houses are surrounded by small gardens, farms and orchards, what makes sensation of genuine.
