Rules for grading of Computer Graphics and Visualization lecture and laboratories

General rules
  1. Laboratories are graded based on projects. Rules for grading projects are available here.
  2. Lectures are graded based on test.
  3. The grade can be influenced by how well you are prepared to answer questions and solve an unannounced quiz
  4. Maximal grade you can receive is limited by the number of absences during laboratories. Please find the rules for that below.
  5. Presence is not checked during lectures
Absences and influence on the final grade
  1. Two unjustified absences do not influence the final grade. Any absence above that lowers the maximal grade by one (but you can’t lower your grade by more than two).
    • Example 1: if somebody is absent twice the grade is not lowered since the absences are within the limit.
    • Example 2: if somebody is absent three times the grade is lowered by one.
    • Example 3: if somebody does not come to any lesson at all (8 absences) the grade can be at most 3.0 (you can’t lower the grade by more than 2)
  2. Only unjustified absences are counted towards the above rules.
  3. Maximal grade cannot be lowered to less than 3.0.
  4. Students doing special projects are exempted from these rules.
