Real data sets on district-heating systems energy consumption

These data sets are publicly available for research use. If you are going to use them, please, reference this web page in your publications

Data set description

  • Data available on this page are real and they represent thermal energy consumption within time period: 01 Sep, 2015 - 28 Feb, 2019 in a town of about 30000 inhabitants.
  • Measurements were taken by 111 devices.
  • Each device has its unique 4-digit DeviceID. A suffix in each data file includes DeviceID.
  • Each measurement was taken with the frequency of one hour, thus there are 24 measurements per day (with some minor exceptions). Within this period there is 61295 measurements taken per a device.
  • Two types of thermal energy were measured, namely: (1) energy used for heating flats - denoted as CO and (2) energy used for heating water - denoted as CW.
  • A mapping between DeviceID and its type (i.e., CO or CW) is available here.
  • The number of measurements per a device within period 01 Sep, 2015 - 28 Feb, 2019: CO devices, CW devices
  • In total there are 3 401 928 measurements available.
