Małgorzata Sterna is a professor at Institute of Computing Science (Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications) at Poznan University of Technology. She works at Division of Algorithm Design and Programming Systems.

 

She received master degree in Computer Science (Distributed Computer Systems) at Poznan University of Technology in 1996. At the same University, she got Ph.D. degree and Habilitation in Computer Science (Scheduling Theory, Theory of Algorithms) in 2000 and 2007 respectively. In 2020 she became a full professor.

 

Malgorzata Sterna got the stipend of the Foundation for Polish Science in 2000, award of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the field of Computer Science in 2008 and a few rewards of the President of Poznan University of Technology.

 

She is an Associate Editor of Omega-The International Journal of Management Science and Journal of Scheduling, as well Series Editor of   Chapman & Hall / CRC Series in Operations Research.

 

 

Fields of interest: 

scheduling theory (deterministic problems, dedicated processors, late work), complexity theory, algorithms design, metaheuristics, selected aspects of graph theory and combinatorial optimization
