A study of available decision analysis methods. Most of them, including ELECTRE family, were the biggest disappointment of my academic life. They are authoritarian high-modernist and extremely hard to apply in the real world. This is because many essential aspects of decisions cannot be quantified and most important decisions are to be made in volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments (VUCA). In addition, timing is usually critical. As Mike Tyson used to say, "Everybody has plans until they get hit."
