indyco: a tool for designing conceptual data warehouse models

indyco is the CASE tool for data warehouse design based on the Dimensional Fact Model (DFM).


The educational license of indyco lets you

  • create and maintain a conceptual schema of a data warehouse using the DFM, a graphical state-of-the-art notation built in over 20 years of experience in both the academic and industrial worlds;
  • design and deploy ROLAP star/snowflake schemata following the best practices in the literature and Kimball’s design patterns.
In the commercial license, one can also carry out reverse engineering of previously available data warehouse and create a comprehensive project documentation. Upon registration to the indyco web site, you will be enabled to download the software and the DFM slides for your lessons on DW design. The educational license has 1-year duration and can be used for both teaching and research purposes, not for commercial purposes.
