On this page we describe our experimental systems and benchmarks used for their evaluation. To support reproducible research, we make available the source code of systems and benchmarks used in experimental evaluation under open source license.

PersistentDS

We develop PersistentDS, an open source NoSQL data store system. It’s main features are following:

  • strong consistency

  • acute replicated data types

  • effcient recovery after crashes

  • support of NVM

See research papers for details.

Benchmarks

We use the following standard benchmarks:

For evaluation of crash-recovery we designed the following tests:

Computing

We conduct experimental evaluation using three computing facilties:

  • Six Inspur servers, equipped with Intel® Xeon® Gold 6252N CPU 2.30GHz and Intel® Optane™ DC persistent memory (DCPMM) (see the full specification)

  • HPC cluster, equipped with Intel® Xeon® X3230 (4×2.66 GHz, 8 MB L2 cache), 1Gbps LAN (running at wire speed), OpenJDK 1.7.0_40, openSUSE 12.3

  • EAGLE cluster, equipped with Huawei E9000 Blade Server, Xeon E5-2697v3 14C 2.6GHz, 56G Infiniband FDR Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., 32 984 Cores, Rmax 1013.7 [TFlops/s], 1372.1 Rpeak [TFlops/s], 550 kW, located at Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (90th in the world’s TOP500 in June 2016) [photo]
