In the beginning this page had to inculde a list of my favourite songs - and I started
to make such a list. But then I realized was not a good idea. Would it be pleasant for
you to read it? Maybe - but the only advantage could be just a nice feeling inside as you
would remember the songs...
So many very good songs have been created recently! It wouldn't be easy to distinguish between the ones to be put on the list and the rest. That is why I decided to include midi files here - the most beautiful I have ever found. Unfortunately, some of them are not 'very best' - but I wanted to put them here because of their contents, even when the quality was not very high.
The reasonable sound card to listen to these songs is something like Sound Blaster 32 or better; anyway it should have a wavetable.
I hope in the future it will be possible to play a song on a piano and then transform it rationally into midi... You are often amazed with the clear sound of midi music, but then the classical high quality grandpiano shows you the right hierarchy - what is fake and what is original. Looks like I prefer to play one-finger on a piano than listen to 20-instrument poliphony (at least until crescendo is realized by adjusting volume).
