Basic description

Seeing as we seem to draw a lot of diagrams of processes, threads, transactions or whatever executing on the time axis, I decided to whip up a set of Tikz styles and LaTeX macros to be able to draw them relatively efficiently, and with relatively high aesthetic value. It’s nothing huge, but it saved me tons of work. Who knows, maybe you’re looking for something similar.

And here’s what the output looks like:

The source code and PDF, as well as the stylefile are available at at github. The code is annotated profusely, so you should be able to figure out how to get it doing what you want it to.
