Submissions

All submissions should be sent (preferably electronically) either to the FCDS office () or to a member of the Editorial Board, who will be responsible for the reviewing process. Only original papers, not published nor submitted for publication elsewhere, can be submitted.

The recommended way of submitting papers to FCDS is by e-mail: fcds@cs.put.poznan.pl. At this moment, we accept any of the following formats: Portable Document Format (.pdf), Latex (.tex), and Ms Word (.doc). Manuscripts may also be sent in by post. In the later case they should be submitted in three copies, double-spaced and printed on one side of the page only, with wide margins.

Prospective authors may consider using the detailed FCDS guidelines for the camera ready versions of papers. Otherwise, the authors should follow some minimal requirements:

  • Manuscripts should be written in ENGLISH.
  • The essential contents of each paper should be outlined in an ABSTRACT of about 100 words, to be printed at the head of the paper. It should not contain references.
  • Sections and sub-sections should be numbered with Arabic numerals.
  • Authors' mailing address should be put as a footnote on the first page of the manuscript.
  • Illustrations, photographs, tables, etc. should be suitable for reproduction.
  • References in the text should be numbered in square brackets and listed in an alphabetical order at the end of the paper. They should be written in English (the language of the original should be indicated in brackets after the title if it is not English) and formatted as indicated in the below examples:

For papers in journals:

D.F. Cooper: A note on serial and parallel heuristics for resource-constrained project scheduling. Found. of Control Engrg. 2, 3, 1977, 1-134.

For books:

W.K. Chen: Applied Graph Theory. North-Holland, Amsterdam, 1971.

For papers in contributed volumes:

R.M. Karp: Reducibility among combinatorial problems. In: R.E. Miller and J.W. Thatcher, eds. Complexity of Computer Computations. Plenum Press, New York, 1972, 85-104.

Authors of accepted papers are obliged to deliver camera-ready versions of their papers formatted according to the FCDS guidelines (PDF). Please download our MS Word template or Latex style file for camera-ready papers.

Upon publication authors will receive ten tear copies of their article.
