Submission Instructions

Authors from universities or industry, developing solutions for databases, big data, and data analytics can submit short (vision, PhD, demos and preliminary work) or long (novel work, research, industrial, survey papers) papers. The papers can describe novel research, the architecture of a commercial system or solution, the results of case studies and experience, or on-going work on a challenging and emerging area. They will be reviewed by the program committee for their technical merit, originality, significance, readability and relevance to the workshop. Duplicate submissions or already published work are not accepted.

Manuscripts should follow the formatting instructions of EDBT. They should be formatted using the ACM camera-ready templates (both for MS word and Latex) available at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates. There are two styles on the website. Both the Strict Adherence to SIGS and the Tighter Alternate style are allowed. Long papers cannot exceed 10 pages in length and short papers cannot exceed 5 pages in length. Excessively short submissions (3 pages or less) will not be penalized. Papers must be submitted in PDF format via EasyChair >>>>>.

Camera-Ready Instructions

The camera ready version of accepted papers must have a maximum length of 10 pages for full papers and 5 pages for short papers in double column. Different from previous editions, the workshop proceedings this year will NOT be included in the ACM Digital Library. The proceedings of the workshop will be published online as a volume of the CEUR Workshop Proceedings, a well-known website for publishing workshop proceedings. It is indexed by the major publication portals, such as Citeseer, DBLP and Google Scholar.

EDBT/ICDT Workshop papers must follow the ACM Proceedings Format (slightly modified for EDBT/ICDE proceedings). So, please use the modified ACM LaTeX2e style files (with ISSN and copyright information for EDBT/ICDT 2018 Workshops):

Note that items such as keywords and CCS format were removed, which should therefore not be contained in the camera-ready version of your paper.

The papers should be formatted WITHOUT page numbering. Use A4 paper format and make sure that the PDF is smaller than 5 MB. Under no circumstances change the template's font size, margins, inter-column spacing, or line spacing.

The copyright notice should be exactly as follows:

  • "Ⓒ 2018 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Published in the Workshop Proceedings of the EDBT/ICDT 2018 Joint Conference (March 26, 2018, Vienna, Austria) on CEUR-WS.org (ISSN 1613-0073). Distribution of this paper is permitted under the terms of the Creative Commons license CC-by-nc-nd 4.0."
Please note that by submitting the camera-ready version, you accept that the paper is published under the Creative Commons license CC-by-nc-nd 4.0 by OpenProceedings.org. The proceedings will be published before the EDBT/ICDT workshops in March, 2018.

Every accepted paper must be accompanied by a EDBT/ICDE registration
